Comment: I had my front door deadbolt lock break last night. In the past I bought a new deadbolt at the orange big box store but it would not fit due to the smaller bore size in my old solid wood front door. I looked around on the internet and read the great reviews for General Locksmith and called them. Charlie came about an hour later, installed the right size deadbolt and cut extra keys all for $125. I am so happy that I didnt have to deal with this again! I highly recommend General Locksmith for their quick response, installing exactly what I needed and their reasonable pricing. I will use for them for any future locksmith services.

Comment: I highly recommend General Locksmith. This family run business has been in Hollywood for many years. Eli was highly knowledgeable, helpful, prompt and courteous. As he was working on replacement locks he explained that as a child in the family business his father made him disassemble and reassemble all kinds of locks so that he became highly skilled. It showed. He even identified and fixed some existing problems that had been created by an earlier locksmith. The job was done on time, for the price quoted, and it was done right. The pricing is very reasonable and there were no attempts to oversell the job into a larger project.

Comment: I was having quite honestly a terrible day today, then managed to lock the keys in my car to top it off. Made a bunch of pointless calls to other locksmith service providers promising service within no less than a two hour wait. With hope disappearing i decided to call general locksmith here telling myself this would be the last call. My call was answered and i had a nice conversation with the operator Whos name i didn’t get who was more helpful and polite than the others i had spoken with not but a few minutes prior. Was given a 15 minute window and my prayers were answered 10 minutes later when Eli, my locksmith pulled up while on the phone with me. He introduced himself and saw i was clearly stressing. A very pleasant conversation and some positive words from Eli really went a long way. It didnt even take him 1 minute to open my car for me!!!! This man really deserves all the good karma life can throw at him! THANK YOU ELI!!!In the case i ever lock myself out again these are the guys im calling!!!

Third company didn’t even pick up the phone (face palm). Charlie came over and let me know that he didn’t even need to completely replace the handle and lock, just replace the deadbolt. Comment: My house key got stuck in the deadbolt of my front door and I could not get it out. I didnt want to risk breaking it off in the lock. I checked Better Business Bureau to find a reputable locksmith and found General Locksmith. Charlie told me that he would be out in 15-20 minutes to take a look at it. He showed up promptly, was very friendly and polite, very professional and explained that it just had a lot of build up that he could clean up for me. He could have tried to sell me a brand new lock, but didnt. He also ended up fixing the door knob that had become hard to turn. I was very happy with his work and with his friendly attitude. I will definitely use him again for any lock issues I may have and will recommend him to friends and family, as well.

The technician met her this past Sunday and charged her $125 stating that what she was quoted was the weekday rate not the weekend rate. She immediately called the company and told the owner what happened. He apologized for the miscommunication and personally drove to my Moms home to give her the extra $45 that she was charged. Very knowledgeable and provided a number of options (i.e. rekey existing dead bolt or install a new one). We decided to go with a new deadbolt and door handle with a lock. He explained to us how the tumblers worked and showed us how to have the same key for both the deadbolt and door lock. Roy had a great sense of humour but was very professional.

Comment: Our business needed a locksmith asap late in the afternoon and I called the above locksmith because they were in Hollywood where our office is. I was impressed with how much information Jennifer supplied to us and decided to use them. Charlie was given the job and he came very timely. He was friendly, professional and explained to us about each type lock, they keys, making copies etc. He also showed us how the locks he was removing were not installed correctly and why. We decided on the medium deadbolt and he had to go back to the office to get it. He returned within minutes of the time he said it would take.Charlie explained to us how the bottom new lock can work 3 different ways and let us practice until we felt comfortable with it. He also did not charge us for the extra keys we requested.We were very pleased with his professionalism and how informative he was and was not trying to rush us so he could leave.
